5 Transitional Skincare Tips For Fall
Look for products that are hydrating, protecting and filled with phytonutrients. What are phytonutrients? Phytonutrients are natural compounds found in plant foods such as vegetables, fruit, whole grain products and legumes. These plant compounds have beneficial effects working with other essential nutrients to promote good health. Still not sure? I like to think, the more colour the better - so look for colourful products! Kind of like eating fruits and vegetables that resemble the rainbow.
Look for organic, cold pressed oils in your facial oils such as avocado, hemp, pumpkin, rosehip, sea buckthorn, evening primrose, irish sea moss! To name a few.
Try switching out your cleanser to a milky base or even oil cleanser (which I use all year long).
A must is a facial mist (all year really!) as they are great for every season. I love using my Rose Bulgarian hydrosol this time of year as it reminds me of what once was, like the death and rebirth of our plant ecosystem.
My last and final tip which is an absolute must when it comes to transitioning my skincare products has to be going from a moisturizer (water based) to a face balm (oil/wax/butter based). The wonderful thing about a facial balm is that it has many ways to use it. You can simply add water and warm it up in your hand, creating a “raw” cream. You can use it as an eye balm if you're finding your eye area to be more crepey and dry. On your lips and even for a face massage before your gua sha ritual! I highly recommend incorporating one of these three into your facial rituals.
Great tips - now where do I get all these things? I got you covered. Click through below to purchase the products below to ensure you have glowing skin all Fall long!

The transitional seasons, especially the autumn season are a time to take a step back, slow things down and nourish yourself inside and out. Think stews, soups and curries! Those warming spices blended in with your herbal teas, who doesn’t love a delicious chai tea latte this time of year! Herbs such as nettle, oatstraw, cleavers and lemon balm have been my go to right now. You can even add in a bit of ginger and honey to help ease a sore throat.
With love,
