TAYLOR VAN DER DEEN

Registered Social Worker

BOOK WITH TAYLOR HERE

Taylor is a Registered Social Worker who holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Guelph, and a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University. She is also a yoga teacher and is trained in Hatha, trauma informed and restorative yoga. Taylor believes in approaching life with an essence of curiosity, compassion and creativity. She values relationships based on authenticity, safety and collaboration and aims to bring these qualities into sessions.

Taylor works with individuals who may be experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, seeking emotional wellness, struggling with feeling stuck, exploring their sense of self or needing some clarity as they navigate life transitions. She has special focus and passion for working with youth and young adults finding their way in this crazy world. She brings experience working with a wide variety of diagnoses and challenges including trauma, stress, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, ADHD, and depression.

Taylor primarily pulls from the therapeutic models Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as mind-body, somatic and creativity focused approaches. She regularly draws on other modalities (such as mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, DBT, and CBT) depending on the needs, interests and goals of her clients. No matter the approach, Taylor’s work is client centred, trauma informed, strength based and holistic in nature.

Taylor is also an aspiring sourdough bread baker, a wannabe world traveller and an astrology lover. I love to learn and experience new hobbies. She is continuously seeking joy, in moments big and small. She loves snuggling up or chasing after her sweet pup and self-proclaimed therapy dog, Stark, adventuring and making delicious food with her husband, drinking amazing coffee and tea, and laughing with friends.

Above all, Taylor strongly believes in showing up as a human first. She knows that being a human isn’t always easy and that you are worthy of support and space for you to land while on this journey. She works with her clients to co-create a space where all parts, emotions and experiences are compassionately welcomed.

PAIGE OBERFELDS

Registered Social Worker

BOOK WITH PAIGE HERE

As a human first, therapist second, Paige believes in authenticity within their practice. She takes on a very conversational, exploratory, and experiential approach to therapy. She is passionate about creating a space for clients to be human, inviting all emotions to be held with curiosity and compassion.

Paige works with teens, adolescents, and adults to co-create a space to dig deep and explore the challenges that have led them to therapy. Walking into a session with Paige, you can expect a judgement free zone where there are no wrong thoughts, feelings, or emotions. You may work towards building self-awareness, challenging old narratives, and/or enhancing skills to navigate the ebbs and flows of life.

Paige supports folks with a range of different concerns:

Relationship and Family Dynamics, Life Transitions, Anxiety, Depression, Emotional and Behavioural Regulation, High Sensitivity, Self-worth, self-esteem, self-criticism, Stress and Burnout, Grief and loss, Trauma and Attachment, Boundaries and Assertiveness, ADHD & Neurodivergence.

Her mission is to help individuals heal, connect, and grow through creative, nervous-system centred, and evidence based practices. A few of the modalities she uses include: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She’s passionate about teaching clients about their nervous system and my practice is largely informed by Polyvagal Theory and Attachment Science.

Outside of session you can find Paige enjoying time in nature, cuddling her rescue pups on the couch with her partner, lifting weights in the gym, and exploring new coffee shops in the city she calls home.
