shedding the old and embracing the new this spring

The days are getting longer and the first buds of spring blooming! I want to take a moment a talk about shedding the old and embracing the new during the spring season (my favourite!).

spring renewal

One powerful way to do this is through lymphatic drainage. Our lymphatic system is responsible for removing toxins and waste from our bodies, and when it becomes stagnant, we can experience a range of issues, from bloating and fatigue to skin problems and illness. We want to encourage lymph flow and support our body’s natural detoxification process - I just posted a quick tutorial on Instagram if you want to take a look!

Another way to soak up the rejuvenating power of spring is through forest bathing and grounding. As we spend more time outdoors we reduce stress, improve sleep and boost our overall wellbeing. Try taking a walk outside barefoot or lying on the ground to feel more centered and connected to the beauty and magic of Mother Nature. Trust me!

These practices combined with a spring detox can help us feel lighter, brighter and more energized both physically and emotionally. A detoxifying face mask, gentle cleansing tea, dry brushing, morning yoga salutations are all simple ways to help us let go of old habits and patterns and create space for new growth and possibilities.

Let’s shed the layers of our winter wardrobe and old skin at the same time to fully embrace this season of transformation and renewal. We can tap into our own innate ability to heal and regenerate, and emerge feeling refreshed, revitalized and ready for all the new possibilities that lie ahead this spring!
